“Experience D103’s Architectural Design in Augmented Reality”
Immerse yourself in the wonders of the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC) by exploring the features directly from your mobile phone. This model brings together the best from the worlds of architecture and graphic design with the mission of abolishing the limitations of space using Augmented Reality (AR). Visitors can literally fly through the model by zooming into different areas of the building for more information and insights.
We hope to see you all there!
Earlier this month Mr. Phichai Jongwattanapaisal, Co-COO at D103i, was invited by Rangsit University to present strategies and methods related to airport terminal design. Mr. Phichai offered insights on the mock-up renovation project, supported by his experience working on the renovation of Samui International Airport. The session was inspiring, innovative and integrative.
We would like to thank the Faculty of Architecture at Rangsit University for giving us the opportunity to share our experience with the next generation of passionate architects.
We were honored to welcome our special guest Khun Kasem Ninchareon, Executive Director at Acumen Consulting (Thailand) Co., Ltd, who provided us with insights on the world of Data Centers. With the fast-paced development of information-based platforms and growing needs from all industries and businesses for greater data granularity and analytics, Data Centers are rapidly becoming an in-demand building typology. What sets Data Centers apart from other building typologies is the long list of pre-requisites set forth by various international standards like Uptime or BICSI, making the task of creating a Data Center from scratch an arduous and challenging one. From design guidelines to planning principles to sustainability, Khun Kasem opened our eyes to the possibility of creating Data Centers that optimize performance while addressing energy and environmental concerns.
We had the pleasure of being entertained by Dr. Non Akraprasertkul, Senior Expert at DEPA, who introduced a radically different way of looking at Smart Cities with the following takeaways:
Our design team went to visit our beloved Thai Pavilion and came back with fascinating takeaways on 3 pavilions that best represented and expressed the Expo’s 3 key themes – Mobility, Sustainability and Opportunity.
Special lecture : “Thailand Pavilion World Expo” Case study
on March 3rd, 2022, 1.00 – 2.00 pm. at Faculty of Architecture, Rajamangala University of Technology Thanyaburi by Mr.Chaiwat Limwattananon, Co-Chief Operating Officer of Design 103 International Limited and Mr.Worawat Manusnun, Chief Production Officer of Index Creative Village PCL.
We explored the fundamentals of inclusivity in 3 core typologies that we cover – workplace, hospitality and residential. From gender-less restrooms to community-first open spaces to tactile-driven circulation, we opened our eyes, ears, minds and hearts to a world of endless possibilities.
We are honored and excited to begin a fruitful collaboration with our partner, School of Architecture, Art, and Design – KMITL, that will involve development and exchange of ideas, ways of working, and people between our two institutions.
It is our hope that this collaboration effort will lead to positive impacts towards our profession, society and country. We look forward to this properous relationship.
